DRAIV belongs to Steininger AG. We own and run the core of the fleet ourselves, in and around Zurich, and those cars unlock with your phone. On top come cars from selected partners, for example in Ennetbaden and Zug.
Our story
We rented first, then we built.
In 2024 we rented our own cars through car-sharing platforms. Hundreds of rentals later we knew exactly where it breaks: the key, the counter, the deposit, the support line nobody picks up.
So we built it ourselves. Our cars, our tech, our app, our support. Where a partner makes the offer better than we could alone, we bring them in — on our terms. When something fails there is nobody for us to point at. That is deliberate.
Keyless and digital where speed matters. A person on the phone when it counts.

DRAIV is not a marketplace where anyone lists a car. We buy, service and price the core of the fleet ourselves. On top come cars from selected partners that extend the offer, with special cars or in more places. You book all of them in the same app, with the same support. Whether a car is instant or on request, and how you get the key, is shown on the car. And you get exactly the car you booked.
Four things you will not find here
A counter
Counters have opening hours. A late flight does not.
A key handover on instant cars
Cars with instant booking open with your phone, with no key handover. Some request cars are handed over in person by the owner, and the car says so.
A deposit
We block nothing on your card. The price you see is the amount that leaves.
A subscription
Rent as long as you like, months included. Nothing renews itself.
Someone is there
Seven days a week, 7 am to midnight, real people answer — WhatsApp is fastest, phone and email work too. In English or German. The invoice comes from Steininger AG with Swiss VAT.

He was constantly available for contact when we needed him and incredibly helpful when it came to pick up and drop off. The cars quality was absolutely phenomenal and it really took our experience to the next level. I will definitely be back to rent cars through DRAIV, and more specifically, from Anton.

Using a car through DRAIV was easier than we could have hoped for. The car was exactly where it was supposed to be at the expected time. The car was in great condition, and it was super comfortable. I made an error when I failed to account for a time zone change, and the issue was resolved in less than 5 minutes from when I messaged. I had a question while I was using the car, and again, I had an answer in minutes. After this experience, I can’t imagine ever renting from anywhere else. Thank you, DRAIV!
